On a personal mission to “save the world,” Dr. Stocks studied Environmental Science and Ecology while working as a State Park Ranger before she became a veterinarian. She feels honored to have found a vocation where she can combine her love of patient care and animals. She genuinely enjoys the mystery of Veterinary care as it sometimes involves research.
Dr. Stocks is a talented scholar, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Virginia–Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. She also has associations with the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society, Pi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Alpha Psi Veterinary Fraternity and Omega Psi Veterinary Service Fraternity. She was named one of “NOVA’s Top Vets,” in 2017 by NOVA Magazine.
Dr. Stocks volunteers for the Fairfax City Animal Control and KaBoom, an organization that builds playgrounds for underprivileged children. In her free time, Dr. Stocks enjoys being a Washington Capitals fan, knitting, and Bikram yoga. She and her family, including two boys and a dog, live in Reston.
