We prefer to start your puppy or kitten’s vaccinations when they’re between 6 and 8 weeks old. We start with a series of distemper boosters, which are given every 3-4 weeks and end when they’re 12-16 weeks old. These initial visits typically run a little longer, because there is a lot of information to cover. We’ll discuss house training, parasite prevention, diet recommendations, toys, potential hazards, and much more. To schedule your pet’s wellness care visit at our hospital in Fairfax, call us at (703) 273-2110.
